Life has given me some difficult roads to travel down this past year.

But I have found great peace and comfort with several passages from the word of God:

Jeremiah 29 v 11
Hebrews 13 v 5
1 Peter 5 v 7

The first road was the loss of my job in May 2011 at Community Action Child Care after 23 years. Confused about where God was leading me I was willing to take hold of His hand and follow on His journey.

I went back to a time when I thought “What would it be like to work for a Christian organization?” God listened!

God graciously helped me find a great new job within 2 weeks at Rock County Christian School working with children 6 weeks to 3 years. It all began when I walked into RCCS on Thursday June 2, 2011 and asked for an application of employment. Mrs. Huston asked how I knew she was looking for another teacher, I replied I didn’t know. She also told me that the staff were praying that morning for God to send more help, and then I walked in. Mere coincidence? Or was this experience a good gift orchestrated by a great God who loves to encourage His children?

I was asked to bring in a resume, I submitted an updated version a few days later. After Mrs. Huston looked it over I was hired on the spot.

The second road was with my finances. I couldn’t imagine how things were going to work out but God helped me realize who was in control of the situation. He has given me an opportunity to have a trusting heart, because He has met my every need in getting things back in order.

The third road was with my car. The cost of repairing my Malibu was more than the car was worth, and I put my trust in God. I was looking online and God showed me a 2005 Ford Taurus – but the price was far too high.

A couple of weeks later I checked online again and found the car to be a $1,000 less. God kept telling me to offer $5,000. I told God:

“God, if this is the car you want me to have….it will still be there when I’m ready to buy it.”

So on Thursday December 29, 2011 I test drove and bought my God given gift at His God given price.

Through this whole experience my relationship with God has become much stronger. It has also given me a new found perspective on life by putting God first as part of my daily routine.

Thank you God.
